Sam Harris's Meditation App, Waking Up

You do not have control over what you think. Thoughts simply appear. You do have control over what you pay attention to, but you need to train your mind to pay attention in the first place. If not, thoughts will appear and engulf your awareness, and then you are your thoughts.

Stumbling on Happiness, Daniel Gilbert

Be careful when you let an experience affect your mood. You are judging a subjective experience from a subjective place. The experience was likely quite different from how you remember it.

Mark Twain

"Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."

Napoleon Bonaparte

"Dress me slowly, i'm in a hurry"
